How Much Does Pet Care Cost in Cyprus? The Complete 2026 Price Guide

If you are looking for pet care in Cyprus — a dog walker, a pet sitter, overnight boarding, or daycare — the first question is always: how much will it cost?

The answer depends on the service, your location, and the provider. But unlike most guides that give vague ranges, we have real data. We analysed over 500 provider listings across Cyprus to give you actual prices, averages, and medians for every service type and major district.

Here is what pet care costs in Cyprus in 2026.

Dog walking

Dog walking is the most common and affordable pet care service. A standard walk is typically thirty minutes, though some providers offer sixty-minute options.

Price range: EUR 5 to EUR 35 per walk

Average: EUR 14 per walk

Median: EUR 15 per walk

Most dog walkers in Cyprus charge between EUR 10 and EUR 20 per walk. If you are booking daily walks, expect to spend EUR 200 to EUR 400 per month depending on frequency and your chosen provider.

Prices are slightly higher in Limassol and Nicosia (EUR 14-18 average) compared to Larnaca and Paphos (EUR 10-15 average). This reflects the higher cost of living in the two largest cities and the greater concentration of expat pet owners willing to pay for professional services.

Sixty-minute walks typically cost EUR 18 to EUR 25 — roughly a fifty percent premium over the standard thirty-minute walk.

Pet sitting (in your home)

Pet sitting means a provider comes to your home and stays with your pets, usually while you are travelling. This is the best option for cats who should not leave their familiar environment, and for dogs with anxiety or special needs.

Price range: EUR 5 to EUR 54 per day (wide range due to mixed listing units)

Average: EUR 19 to EUR 25 per day

Median: EUR 19 to EUR 20 per day

Per-day rates for in-home pet sitting typically fall between EUR 18 and EUR 30 in Cyprus. Some providers charge per visit (EUR 8-15 per visit for shorter check-ins) rather than a full daily rate.

For cat owners, pet sitting is often the most practical service. Cats generally do not need to leave their home — they need feeding, water, litter tray management, and a welfare check. A twice-daily visit arrangement (morning and evening) is the standard for cat sitting in Cyprus, typically costing EUR 16 to EUR 30 per day total.

Overnight boarding (at the provider's home)

Overnight boarding means your dog stays at the provider's home while you are away. This is the most popular option for dog owners who travel and want their pet in a home environment rather than a kennel.

Price range: EUR 10 to EUR 80 per night

Average: EUR 25 per night

Median: EUR 25 per night

The bulk of boarding providers in Cyprus charge between EUR 20 and EUR 35 per night. Budget options (EUR 10-15) do exist, particularly in smaller towns, but be sure to check reviews and photos of the provider's home carefully at the lower end of the range.

Premium boarding — providers who offer structured activities, garden access, training reinforcement, and dedicated solo attention — typically costs EUR 35 to EUR 50 per night.

Prices above EUR 50 per night are rare in Cyprus and usually indicate specialised services such as medical boarding (for dogs needing medication administration) or luxury facilities.

Doggy daycare

Daycare means your dog spends the daytime at the provider's home — typically 7am to 7pm — and is returned to you in the evening. This is ideal for working professionals who want their dog socialised and exercised during the day.

Price range: EUR 10 to EUR 50 per day

Average: EUR 26 per day

Median: EUR 20 per day

Most daycare providers in Cyprus charge between EUR 15 and EUR 25 per day. If you are booking regular weekly daycare (for example, three days per week), the monthly cost will be approximately EUR 180 to EUR 300.

Some providers offer weekly packages or repeat client discounts that bring the per-day cost down by ten to fifteen percent.

Drop-in visits

Drop-in visits are short visits (typically twenty to thirty minutes) to your home to feed, water, and check on your pets. This is the go-to service for cat owners who travel.

Price range: EUR 8 to EUR 20 per visit

Average: EUR 12 to EUR 15 per visit

A standard arrangement for a travelling cat owner is two drop-in visits per day over the duration of the trip. For a five-day trip with twice-daily visits, expect to pay approximately EUR 120 to EUR 150 total.

Drop-in visits are also useful for dog owners who work long hours and want a midday check-in and walk — though for all-day coverage, daycare is usually more cost-effective.

Prices by district

DistrictDog WalkingPet SittingBoardingDaycare
LimassolEUR 14-18EUR 20-28EUR 25-35EUR 20-28
NicosiaEUR 14-18EUR 20-25EUR 25-30EUR 18-25
LarnacaEUR 10-15EUR 15-22EUR 20-28EUR 15-22
PaphosEUR 10-15EUR 15-20EUR 20-28EUR 15-22

Limassol tends to be the most expensive district for pet care, reflecting the city's large expat population and higher overall cost of living. Larnaca and Paphos offer more affordable options.

What affects the price

Several factors influence what you will pay:

Pet size. Some providers charge more for large dogs. A Great Dane boarding stay may cost twenty to thirty percent more than a small dog. Always check the provider's multi-pet pricing on their profile.

Multiple pets. Most providers offer a discounted rate for additional pets — typically fifty percent of the base rate per extra animal. If you have two dogs, expect to pay roughly 1.5 times the single-dog price, not double.

Duration. Longer bookings sometimes come with per-day discounts. A two-week boarding stay may be slightly cheaper per night than a two-night stay.

Holidays. Peak periods — Christmas, Easter, and August — see higher demand and some providers charge a holiday surcharge. Book well in advance during these periods.

Special needs. Pets requiring medication administration, specific dietary preparation, or extra supervision for medical conditions may incur a higher rate. Discuss this with your provider before booking.

How platform fees work

On Tinies, the price you see on a provider's profile is the provider's rate. A twelve percent service fee is added at checkout — this covers payment processing via Stripe, the Tinies Guarantee (up to EUR 2,000 vet coverage), and platform operations.

Ninety percent of that service fee goes directly to animal rescue organisations in Cyprus. Every booking you make through Tinies funds the rescue and care of animals across the island.

On PetBacker, the fee structure is different. PetBacker deducts fifteen to twenty-five percent from the provider's earnings, with the rate depending on the number of bookings the provider has completed. If a provider is found to be working on multiple platforms simultaneously, the fee increases to forty percent.

On Tinies, providers keep eighty-eight percent of every booking. There are no exclusivity requirements and no penalties for working on other platforms.

Finding the right provider

Price matters, but it is not the only factor. When choosing a pet care provider in Cyprus, also consider:

Verification. On Tinies, every provider is identity-verified before they appear in search results. Look for the verified badge.

Reviews. Read reviews from other pet owners. A provider with ten five-star reviews at EUR 18 per walk is a better bet than an unreviewed provider at EUR 10.

Experience. Check the provider's bio for relevant experience — years of pet care, specific breed knowledge, veterinary training, or certifications.

Home setup. For boarding and daycare, check the provider's photos. Is there a garden? Is the space clean? Are there other animals in the home?

Communication. Message the provider before booking. Ask about their routine, how they handle emergencies, and whether they are comfortable with your pet's specific needs.
